RFcore proposes yet another type of CMOS core chip solution for an active phased array system which is a TTD (true time delay) core chip. The TTD core chip provides a constant time delay over the frequency band that is interpreted as a constant phase over the frequency. It is essential in a wideband active phased array system because the TTD can avoid distortion in beam steering angle. RFcore's CMOS TTD core chip can provide gain as well which is helpful to eliminate the necessity for an extra wideband amplifier.
